Highway Engineering Associate - 5943

RS&H is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Associate to join our team in the Baltimore area!

 

 

Our Timonium, MD transportation practice provides a full range of planning, design and agency support services.  This Associate will assist with various design related assignments, analyses, and field duties on transportation projects, primarily for state and local governments in Maryland.  This Associate will be responsible for working on projects ranging from traffic impact studies to complex highway planning projects.  This Associate will assist in the development of construction plans, right of way plans, cost estimates, bid documents, various calculations, and quantity takeoffs under the direction of licensed civil engineers. Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic knowledge of civil engineering design, systems, calculations, along with the application of engineering methods and construction methods and materials
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EIT Certification 
  • Basic knowledge of MicroStation and/or Open Roads
  • Previous internship and/or related engineering experience
